Parents School Program Enhances Parental Skills for Students
Jakarta – NICE Indonesia, a social enterprise institution focusing on enhancing educational capacities and the third sector, is committed to strengthening communities and organizations for a better future in Indonesia.
“The mission of NICE Indonesia is to strengthen communities and organizations through capacity development in fund management, the creation of impactful programs, and human development services to realize a better Indonesia,” stated CEO of NICE Indonesia, Dasril Guntara, in a written message on Monday (17/10).
“One of NICE Indonesia’s programs in the education sector is training provided to students’ parents. The Parents School Program is focused on training parents with positive parenting models,” he added.
This program is based on an approach that considers the child’s needs to fulfill their rights, requirements, and individuality. Parenting training aims to promote the well-being of children and adolescents by enhancing parents’ skills in positive parenting practices.
The program is funded by the NAMA Foundation and initiated by NICE Indonesia for 24 schools in Indonesia. The activities are conducted globally in three countries: Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tanzania.
“The goal of this program is to understand how children’s brains develop in the context of parent-child relationships. Furthermore, it aims to provide education on effective communication with children and to encourage positive development and behavior in children,” said Dasril.
