NICE Strengthens Synergy for the Advancement of Civilization

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Nusantara Integra Cipta Ekselensia (NICE) Indonesia, a community empowerment organization, was launched at the Aston Simatupang Hotel in South Jakarta on Wednesday (28/3). The launch ceremony was marked by the presentation of jackets from the Commissioner to the officials of Nice Indonesia.

Present at the event was Dr. Saleh Mubarak Bazead, Chief Executive of NAMA Foundation in Malaysia and Board of Commissioner of NICE Indonesia, accompanied by other executives such as Taufik Ramlan Wijaya, Farouk Abdullah Alwyni, Muhammad Darocky Willianova, Andjar Radite, H Sukro Muhab, Chairman of NICE Indonesia Sapto Sugiharto, and a representative from the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Sri Yuliani. The event was also attended by leaders of social, educational, religious institutions, and community figures.

Sapto Sugiharto, appointed to lead PT NICE Indonesia, stated that one of its visions is to build synergy among all institutions. “This is an initiative that has been ongoing for a long time. Alhamdulillah, I have been following it since the beginning in 2015, on how to create a community and entity that can facilitate our movements in developing and building human resources,” Sapto said, as quoted in the press release received by Republika.co.id on Friday (30/3).

Sapto continued, the formation of PT NICE Indonesia carries the philosophy behind its name, with the hope that NICE, Nusantara Integra Cipta Ekselensia, can unite the archipelago and produce excellence. “We always highlight the excellence possessed by the Muslim community in general, so that we become a force that can contribute and support everyone as global citizens. So, don’t forget that the Muslim community is a community that will contribute to rahmatan lil ‘alamin,” he said.

In the view of the Chairman of the Department of International Relations of JSIT Indonesia, the Indonesian nation is great and has various strengths. If these strengths are managed seriously, they will grow into a power that can contribute to the development of Indonesian society.

“Therefore, NICE Indonesia is present in society as a social enterprise that provides capacity-building services in education and the third sector in Indonesia. NICE will strengthen communities and organizations through capacity development in fund management, the creation of programs that have a strong impact on society, and human development services to realize a better Indonesia,” Sapto emphasized.

Similarly, Faruk Abdullah, Commissioner of PT NICE Indonesia and Lecturer at the University of Indonesia and STIE Perbanas Jakarta, stated that to become a great nation, all elements of society must unite, synergize, and contribute to improving the quality of human development and empowerment in Indonesia.

“Whatever role we can play to build society, let’s play it with all our abilities. Our journey is still long, with many challenges ahead. Let’s face them together, united for a better future for Indonesia,” said the Managing Director of PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia.

During the event, Taufik Ramlan Wijaya, Chairman of Wafaa Indonesia, stated that every social institution shares the same goal of building human resources that can contribute to the nation. Therefore, he invited all social institutions in Indonesia to collaborate in providing solutions to the nation’s problems.

“We all share the same dream of building human resources. So, we must take care of them as best as we can, so that they have a bright future, are beneficial, and can contribute to the civilization of the world. Because we want Indonesia not only to be good for itself but also for the civilization of the world,” said the Chairman of Pesantren Sabilul Huda Foundation, Cirebon, West Java.

A graduate of the University of Sheffield, UK, hoped that through cooperation with PT NICE, representing the NAMA Foundation Malaysia, there could be more synergy with many social and educational institutions. “Hopefully, opportunities abroad that we can utilize for the contribution of our country can be maximized. So that in the future, our work is not limited to ourselves but involves many parties from abroad,” said the Lecturer at the School of Economics of Indonesia, Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Sulfan Zayd, Principal Consultant of PT Nice Indonesia, explained some of the work programs that NICE Indonesia will run in 2018, including the Leadership Forum, a program to develop the talents and potential of young people in several regions of Indonesia. This aims to empower youth to become positive change agents and develop the talents and potential of their peers in their communities.

“Another program is to train consultants, managers, and implementers of community organizations. The managers of community organizations are expected to carry out their activities professionally according to the established standards,” said Sulfan.
